Our journey began in 1955 when Stewart Matter Sr. became a sales representative for Simmons Mattress Company. After several years of traveling various states, he decided to open a furniture showroom in his hometown of Ft. Wayne, Indiana in order to be home every night with his family. After 20 years of success, he decided to move and raise his family in Ft. Myers, Florida. Over the years, his sons, Stewart II, David, Tom, John, and Gary joined him and since have grown the business to one of the Top 100 Furniture Retailers in the country.
